Ken Ruoff presents at Emerging Democracies conference

Ken Ruoff, History faculty, presented a paper titled "The Role of the Japanese Monarch, 1868-Present" at the Emerging Democracies in the 21st Century conference sponsored by the Bhutan Centre for Media and Democracy, in Paro, Bhutan. The conference brought together experts who are advising the Bhutanese governement on the role of monarchies in democracies, which will be useful for the country's young king.
