International Student & Scholar Services is now accepting applications for the 2011 International Visiting Professor (IVP) program. For over three decades, the PSU Summer Session has been bringing international visiting professors and instructors from around the world to teach on campus, providing students and the greater campus community with the opportunity to gain unique perspectives and international points of view from specialists in a wide range of subjects.
Many of these professors and instructors come through the International Visiting Professor (IVP) Program, administered by International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) in the Office of International Affairs. PSU hosts international scholars on campus every month of the year and the IVP program complements this programming. Working in concert with PSU?s academic departments, ISSS develops a roster of visiting faculty representing several colleges and schools within the university. ISSS then helps to facilitate bringing these visitors to campus for courses, workshops, and special lectures.
International visiting professors selected to teach during the Summer Session receive partial or full international airfare reimbursement depending on their teaching load and the basic adjunct wage from Summer Session.
PSU academic departments are welcome to nominate international instructors and professors to teach in Summer Session as part of the IVP program. Below is the link to the 2011 International Visiting Professor program information and application:
