The Community Watershed Stewardship Program (CWSP) is a partnership between the City of Portland Bureau of Environmental Services (BES) and the Toulan School of Urban Studies and Planning. BES provides annual grants for community-led watershed projects, which are executed by citizen groups. PSU graduate students provide grant proposal review assistance, project planning support, and coordinate outreach activities. Highlights of the CWSP program include:
· 224 community-led environmental projects since 1996.
· More than tripling the City’s investment in grant awards.
· Improving equity by increasing involvement by underrepresented communities.
