Faculty InterdisciplinarityA primary objective of University Studies is for students to understand how disciplines from the sciences, social sciences, humanities, and professional schools approach problems in different ways and how they work together to improve understanding of complex issues. This interrelation of academic disciplines is what we understand to be interdisciplinarity and is the focus of our pedagogy. To achieve this objective, University Studies faculty represent excellence in teaching and scholarship in a diversity of individual academic fields, in addition to the field of interdisciplinarity. |
