Create Content
Once you have logged into a particular Drupal site, you will see a menuof options in the upper-left corner of your browser window. One ofthese options is "Create Content."
Page
A page, similar in form to a story, is a simple method for creating anddisplaying information that rarely changes, such as an "About us"section of a website. By default, a page entry does not allow visitorcomments and is not featured on the site's initial home page.
Edit Page Content
Once you have logged into a particular Drupal site, you will noticeextra tabs as you browse the website. One of this is "View." This showsthe page as it looks to all users (authenticated or anonymous) with theaddition of the functionality provided by Drupal.
A second tab is called "Edit." Clicking this tab will open the page in edit mode.
The following settings for the page can be edited:
• Title: The title displays at the top of the page body and in the browser title bar.
• Menu Settings: Settings are editable only to users with menu management permissions.
• Delete this menu item: This option displays only when editing existing pages.
• Menu Link title
• Parent item: Choose the appropriate parent for this page under the "Primary links" portion of the drop-down.
• Weight (Optional): The higher numbers make this page appearlower in the menu and the lower numbers make this page appearhigher in the menu.
• Menu link security settings: This option displays only whenediting existing pages and only to users with menu administrationpermissions. The link takes you to a page where permissions for thisparticular menu item can be edited.
• Body Text (within the TinyMCE WYSIWYG editor)
• Revision Information: Defaults to being checked. When editingexisting pages, uncheck this option when you don't want a revisionhistory of the changes.
• URL Path Settings (with Automatic Alias option: An alias willbe generated for you. If you wish to create your own alias below,untick this option. To control the format of the generated aliases, seethe Pathauto settings.)
• Site map settings: Here you can select the weight that thepage will have within the sitemap. The closer to 1, the more weight thepage has. You can also select that the page not be included within thesitemap.
• Authoring Information
• Publishing Options
• Published: This is checked by default.
• Promoted to front page: Option is not in use at this time
• Sticky at top of lists: Option is not in use at this time
• In moderation queue
The page can also be saved and deleted.
Another tab of options you are given once logged in, is "Revisions."This tab displays a list of different users who have edited the pageand when the edits were made.
The revision can either be reverted (to the previous version) ordeleted (which will revert the page and delete all changes made).
