Profile: Karen Kennedy

Karen is a world traveler and uses her experience with other cultures to put herself in the shoes of international students.

B.A. History and Humanities, Michigan State University

M.A. Higher and Adult Education, Michigan State University

Karen is an academic adviser and the international student liaison in the Undergraduate Advising & Support Center (UASC). She has a background in counseling and mental health, and has worked extensively with international and U.S. students at the university level. Karen discovered years ago that she loves working with college students.

She has also traveled throughout Europe and the Middle East and hopes to see even more of the world!
In her free time Karen loves to go camping and hiking, especially in the Northwest, and also enjoys seeing foreign and independent films, going to bookstores, and knitting!
