IST 199/399 ~ College Success

This is a 2-credit course that can be used as an elective towards graduation requirements. College Success is designed to meet the needs of students who are new to college, returning after an absence, academically struggling or feel that additional support would increase their likelihood of success.

The class is offered on an A-F basis and is not an "easy" course. As a class, we will learn academic techniques and skills and identify valuable resources available on campus. Grades are based on papers, exams, out-of-class assignments, group work and class participation. Much of the class time is devoted to discussion and large-group interaction. In order to ensure a meaningful learning environment, class size is limited to 25 students.
