How Will My Courses Be Accepted by PSU?
The most frequent question that transfer students have is how the courses they have taken will transfer to PSU. The Transfer Course Applicability System (CAS) allows you to pull up courses from different institutions throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington and see the PSU equivalents. Select the transfer equivalency button on the left to enter this system. If you only want to see how specific courses will transfer from these schools, you need not create an account; choose "Guest Login" to view the "Course Equivalency Guides". In general, courses that are college-level, 100-level and above taken at a regionally accredited institution will transfer, including up to 12 credits of vocational/technical coursework. If PSU offers a similar course at the same level, the course will usually transfer as "direct equivalency." If PSU does not offer a similar course or offers it at a different level, the course will likely transfer as either elective credit from a specific department or general elective credit. Once admitted to PSU, your credits are officially evaluated and you receive a transfer evaluation report.
