Newsweek ranks PSU among top gay-friendly schools

Newsweek magazine has ranked Portland State University among the top 25 gay-friendly schools in the country.

PSU came in at No. 20 on the list for its acceptance of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students and its campus-wide awareness programs.

The University's Queer Resource Center provides support to students, faculty and staff along the gender and sexuality spectrum and promotes queer awareness on campus.

Campus Climate Index Score: 4.5 
LGBT Campus Center: Yes 
College Prowler diversity grade: B+ 
Students who say campus is “very accepting” of minority students: 75%
