Melinda Glover, Center for Japanese Studies faculty, received a $950 grant from the Japan-United States Friendship Commission and the Northeast Asia Council of the Association for Asian Studies, in support of a lecture on Jan. 30 by Dr. Carol Gluck, Sansom Professor of History at Columbia University, titled “Modernity in Common: Japan and World History.”
