Juan Heredia, Architecture faculty, has been awarded a grant of $3,000 from the Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts. Heredia's project is one of 68 projects to be selected out of a pool of more than 700 applicants by the Graham Foundation. Titled "Largely Modern: Mexican Architecture, 1930-1960," this project will focus on the formation of Mexican modern architecture, notably the work of three mid-century architects, Enrique del Moral, Juan O'Gorman, and Mario Pani. The project will result in a forthcoming book, The Making of Mexican Modern Architecture: 1930 - 1960.
