2007 Artful Leadership Conference Feedback

On June 26 and 27, 2007, a one and one-half day conference for University leaders offered presentations on Conflict Resolution, Organizational Change, Improving Performance in a Collegial Environment, Intercultural Competence, and Employment Law. The feedback about the topics and the presenters was overwhelmingly positive.

In summary, the Conference attracted 107 participants. The group was about equally split between teaching faculty (Schools and supporting departments) and non-teaching faculty (FADM, President’s Office, and University Communications).

Responses were high to the request for Evaluation of both individual sessions as well as the overall conference. The table shown here summarizes the overall conference evaluation data and reflects responses from 68 participants.

The Conference Planning Committee members were pleased with these excellent results and that participants want more on-site leadership development opportunities. In an effort to plan for additional training, some activities are underway:

  • First, the Vice Presidents have had an opportunity to provide input for future plans.
  • In addition, the Conference Planning Committee will reconvene for a debrief and discussion in early September.
