Lecture: “Four Performing Techniques in Chinese Opera”

Lecture: "Four Performing Techniques in Chinese Opera: Sing, Recite, Symbolic Moves, and Combat 唱念做打" -- by performing artists from Binghamton University and The National Academy of Theater Arts in Beijing, China. The workshop will focus on four performing techniques in Chinese opera: sing, recite, symbolic moves, and combat. Two performers will demonstrate on four techniques, with theemphasis on combat moves. The Presenters could also pick 3­4 students, both females and males,and paint their faces in advance. Then the performers will talk about makeup and facepainting in Chinese opera.
