Undergraduate Studies

The School of Music offers 14 degree options for undergraduate students, with courses of study in Performance, Composition, Conducting, Jazz Studies, Music Theory, Music History, Music Education, Pedagogy, Music Technology and Ethnomusicology.  The following is a list of the Degree Requirements for each track.  The Bachelor of Music degrees each offer an intensive music performance track, while the Bachelor of Arts in Music and Bachelor of Science in Music degrees each offer a broader liberal arts education.

Students pursuing a degree in MUSIC EDUCATION or COMPOSITION are not admitted to these programs until their Junior year and must first submit additional materials for review by their specific area.

Please refer to our MUSIC CLASSES page for course descriptions.

Prospective students will be scheduled for an in-person audition following the successful submission of their SCHOOL OF MUSIC APPLICATION, unless of course they have uploaded an audition with that application.  The following are our instrumental and vocal audition requirements.  Should you have any additional questions about your area's audition requirements, please contact your AREA COORDINATOR.  To find your Area Coordinator's contact information, please click on the appropriate link below.  Your application to the School of Music will not be finalized until you have completed your audition.

Please visit our ADMISSIONS page for more information about how to apply.
