The Ghosts of Tonkin

August 2014 marks the 50th anniversary of the Gulf of Tonkin resolution and the start of the Vietnam War.  The award-winning Ghosts of Tonkin dramatizes the behind-the-scenes story of how seemingly well-intentioned public officials brought about one of the most devastating chapters in the history of the United States: The Vietnam War. And how one man tried to stop it before it began - Oregon's Senator Wayne Morse.

Post-play discussion moderated by KBOO’s Jo Ann Hardesty, includes a former member of Morse's staff as well as a Vietnam vet who served on the Turner Joy.

The performance in Portland is September 27 at 7:30pm at Lincoln Hall on the Portland State University campus. 1620 Southwest Park Avenue.  Tickets are $20 (including service fee) and are available at the door, or online at  or by calling 503-725-3307.
