Show & Tell is an almost weekly lecture series that invites working professionals to blow our minds with wisdom, both in person and through the magic of the World Wide Web! Our lectures happen most Thursdays at noon in the Art Building, 2000 SW 5th Avenue, Room 320. The public is welcome and the lectures are free!

Please join us for the first Show & Tell of the spring term with powerhouse Mara Zepeda. Mara likes to solve problems, tell stories and make things. Her speciality is getting things done. She is a co-founder of Switchboard, a company that activates networks of loyal and altruistic people. Switchboard is a part of Wieden+Kennedy’s Portland Incubator Experiment (PIE) 2013 class. She is a calligrapher and owner of Neither Snow calligraphy studio. She works with individual, commercial and editorial clients. She occasionally moonlights as a radio reporter and contributes to NPR, Morning Edition, Planet Money, Marketplace and elsewhere.


Mary Kate McDevitt

Mary Kate McDevitt is a letterer and illustrator living and working in Brooklyn, NY. Mary Kate graduated from Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia with a degree in Graphic Design and Illustration. After working as a designer in a studio in Lancaster, PA for 2 years Mary Kate moved to Portland, OR to pursue a career as a freelance illustrator and artist.

When Mary Kate is not in the studio, she enjoys drinking coffee, thrifting, riding bikes, watching News Radio with her boyfriend Fred DiMeglio and redecorating her apartment. You can follow Mary Kate on twitter for random musings, news and updates and photos of Peppy Mew Mew.
