Mack Wilberg's Requiem

The College of the Arts welcomes Community Partner the Portland Ensign Choir & Orchestra.

Since its founding concert in 2005, The Portland Ensign Choir and Orchestra has performed throughout the Portland, Oregon region with favorite American folk tunes and hymns, stirring patriotic anthems, delightful Christmas music, and classical repertoire by composers of all periods.

The Portland Ensign Choir and Orchestra is a non-profit organization and is composed of 120 singers and 45 instrumentalists.  Members of the choir and orchestra audition and volunteer their time, some traveling as far as 100 miles to participate in rehearsals and performances.

 Currently, the organization’s Musical Director is Dr. David Thomas, with the Orchestra directed by Dr. Ed Higgins.
