PSU's College of the Arts is one of a handful in the world combining the creative disciplines of architecture, design, fine arts, performing arts, cinema, dramatic writing, and critical studies under one roof. PSU is located in one of the world's most innovative urban regions, known for creativity, community engagement, and sustainability. The College is strategically located in the center of downtown Portland, providing a working laboratory for our faculty and students to achieve cutting edge work. The College also strengthens Portland's extended cultural and creative community by providing outstanding professional training and education in partnership with the region's working artists, creatives, and cultural institutions.
The School of Architecture With an established reputation for promoting materially diverse, urban-oriented, socially engaged architectural education for over fifteen years, including a professional Master of Architecture, a new Center for Public Interest Design and strong ties with local design practice, we are proud to continue our creative transformation of possibilities as the School of Architecture.
The School of Art + Design Guided by regionally and nationally renowned faculty, the School of Art + Design is the largest art school in Oregon. Students are drawn to our reputation for excellence based on innovative programs in Art Practices, Graphic Design, and Art History. Through partnerships and outreach we cultivate creative and intellectual communities throughout our region.
The School of Music Providing world-class training, advanced degrees, innovative musicianship and community engagement, the School of Music is committed to sustaining an environment of creative inspiration, interaction, and excellence in the practice, understanding and appreciation of the musical arts, in order to enrich the artistic and cultural life of the city and region.
The School of Theatre + Film Practicing a dynamic array of disciplines, the dedicated professional faculty in the School of Theatre & Film integrate ideas, practices, and processes in multiple degree programs in live and mediated performance enabling our students to become outstanding creative artists and leaders in a variety of chosen careers, and engaged partners in their local and global communities.
