WHAT: PSU Friends of History invites the public to observe Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage month with the free screening of the 2006 award-winning documentary "Citizen Tanouye."
After the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor launched America into World War II, Torrance High School graduate Ted Tanouye left to serve his country as a member of the famous "Go For Broke" 442nd Regimental Combat Team. In Italy, he gave his life in battle, even as his family and countless other Japanese-Americans on the West Coast were relocated to inland "internment camps."
