La Casa Latina at Portland State University will be holding a Cesar Chavez Week celebration during the week of April 8-13

La Casa Latina is a part of the Cultural Centers at Portland State University. The Cultural Centers’ mission is to create a student-centered inclusive environment that enriches the university experience. We honor diversity, explore social justice issues, celebrate cultural traditions, and foster student identities, success and leadership.

The Resource Center for Students with Children and the Multicultural Center present The Enlightened Parent on Tuesday, April 16th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in SMSU 228. This workshop's topic is “Babies: The Movie”, a documentary about how babies are born and raised all over the world.  Join us for the movie, a light dinner, and discussion of parenting practices in different cultures.  Children are welcome; the film is rated PG because of cultural nudity.

Description: Why shop when you can swap! Join us for the Resource Center for Students with Children's Spring Swap event, April 18th-19th from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. at our office in SMSU 462. Bring your old, gently-used children's clothing, toys, and books to share, and find new-to-you children's items to bring home! This is a FREE event open to PSU students with children and their partners.

The Resource Center for Students with Children provides subsidies each term for students with children who need help affording the cost of childcare. Our program can pay up to 50% of your childcare costs.
