Portland State University's Food Industry Leadership Center's has received a $168,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Higher Education Multicultural Scholars Program to support the recruitment of talented, diverse scholars into the Food Industry Management Program.

Elizabeth Almer, Business faculty, authored "AICPA Work/Life and Women's Initiatives 2004 Research: A Decade of Changes in the Accounting Profession: Workforce Trends and Human Capital Practices. Executive Summary," published in Issues in Accounting Education, Vol. 22, No. 1 (2007).

Ray Johnson, Business faculty, presented "Recent Evidence on Earnings Restatements and What it Means for Auditors" to the Portland chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors in February.

The Fall 2006 President's and Deans' lists have been released for all of Portland State University's undergraduate academic units.
