Beta Alpha Psi (BAP), the accounting honor society at Portland State University (PSU), created a student-run technical journal of accountancy, and also implemented a career workshop for all interested Portland area high school students, which included job shadowing days and a $2,000 scholarship opportunity. The PSU Epsilon Alpha Chapter took first place honors for these programs in two out of three Best Practices competitions at the Northwest Regional Meeting in Spokane, WA, on April 13, 2013.
