Cultures of the Sephardic Diaspora: A Weekend of Music & Learning, Oct. 8-11

The Harold Schnitzer Family Program in Judaic Studies Department at Portland State University, together with the Sephardic Cultural Center of Portland, invites you to take part in a journey through the riches of the Spanish-Jewish diaspora, with the Cultures of the Sephardic Diaspora program. Immerse yourself in Ladino music with the renowned Guy Mendilow Ensemble, learn from distinguished scholars, and enjoy authentic Sephardic food!

Cultures of the Sephardic Diaspora: Oct. 8 - Guy Mendilow Ensemble Performance

Journey through the Balkans to the Mid-East beginning in Sarajevo and winding through Salonica to Jerusalem in a sonic adventure brought to life by world-class musicians from Israel, Palestine, Argentina, Japan, UK and USA. The Guy Mendilow Ensemble will perform at Portland State on Oct. 8, at 8:30pm in Lincoln Recital Hall, as part of the Harold Schnitzer Family Program in Judaic Studies' weekend of learning about the cultures of the Sephardic diaspora (Oct. 8-11). All events are free and open to the public.

Noncredit programs in the Center for Executive and Professional Education (CEPE) can enrich an undergraduate or graduate degree by offering curriculum that is not taught in a credit format. PSU students may enroll for CEPE courses on our website. Contact the program manager for more details.
