PSU Chamber Choir to air on Played in Oregon

Tune in to KQAC 89.9 All Classical this Sunday to hear highlights from Arrivederci, Portland, a concert the Portland State University Chamber Choir performed just before winning big at the 52nd annual Seghizzi International Choral Competition in Italy.

Tales from the Forgotten Kingdom performed by the Guy Mendilow Ensemble

The Harold Schnitzer Family Program in Judaic Studies welcomes the Guy Mendilow Ensemble, performing Tales from the Forgotten Kingdom.

Embark on a musical trek to kingdoms long forgotten and bustling towns now vanished. Follow the stories of vagabond queens and lovers lost to the sea, set to spellbinding arrangements of old Sephardi songs reminiscent of symphonic film scores. Wrap these tales up with lush soulful harmonies evoking Flamenco's gutsiness and the longings of Fado, combined with heart-pounding percussion and intricate soundscapes.

PSU Community Chorus: 1st Rehearsal of Spring Term

PSU's Community Chorus invites new and returning members to join the choir for spring term. Rehearsals are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12 to 12:50 p.m. in the Choir Room (Cramer Hall 453). The choir's first rehearsal is Tuesday, April 7, 2015. Anyone can join. There is no audition and the choir consists of all levels of singers.
