Christine Cress, Educational Leadership and Policy faculty, presented the invited keynote “A Promising Connection: Increasing Educational Success through Civic Engagement” at the Faculty Professional Development Conference, Eastern Washington University, Cheney, Wash., Feb. 21. She also presented another keynote, “Assessing Civic Engagement Learning and Impact: Strategies for Engaged Scholarship and Leveraging Data for Capacity Building,” at Gonzaga University, Spokane, Wash., Feb. 21.
Heather Burns, Sybil Kelley and Dilafruz Williams, Educational Leadership and Policy faculty, presented "Nurturing Sustainability Leaders: Pedagogical Practices and Guiding Stories at the national Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education conference in Los Angeles, Oct. 16.
David Bikman is an admissions and student support specialist for the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy (ELP) in the Graduate School of Education. He coordinates the admissions process for all ELP degree and licensure programs, and also supports the Graduate School of Education's licensure recommendation process. David earned his undergraduate degree in economics from Portland State University. Prior to beginning this position, he coordinated the Executive MPA program in the Hatfield School of Government at Portland State.
Joan Strouse, Educational Leadership and Policy emerita faculty, will serve as a faculty member on the spring 2013 voyage of Semester at Sea, a 100-day study abroad program sponsored by the University of Virginia.
