Dilafruz Williams, Education faculty, was an invited panelist for the session, "Educating for a Post-Capitalist World: The Interplay of Ecological and Economic Sustainability," at the American Educational Research Association annual meeting in San Francisco, in April. She presented the paper “Ecological and Social Sustainability in School Districts: Policies and Practices that Impact Poor Children and Youth.”
Nicole Rigelman, Education faculty, presented three papers at the Annual Conference of the National Conference of Teachers of Mathematics, Denver, in April. They papers are "Building Mathematics Learning Communities with NCTM Reflection Guides," "Is it True? Always? Supporting Reasoning-and-Proof Focused Collaboration among Teachers," and "Using NCTM’s Freely Available Reflection Guides to Provide Professional Development to Mathematics Learning Communities."
