Each year, Portland State University’s faculty and staff come together to nominate PSU’s most distinguished students for the Student Achievement Awards. Students can be recognized in three categories: Academic Achievement, University Service and Community Involvement. This year, nearly 300 students were nominated, the largest number in recent history. “I am incredibly impressed with the level of hard work and dedication I have come across,” commented J.R. Tarabocchia, Outreach & Advancement Coordinator whose office administers the awards.
Portland State University, whose student body contains a higher proportion of military veterans than any other Oregon university, is launching a Veteran's Resource Center (VRC), a new service for veteran students attending PSU.
