Silent and Live Auction to Support PSU Art Student Scholarships, Nov. 18

What:
The Department of Art at Portland State University will be holding the third annual "High & Low" art auction and gala to raise money for PSU art student scholarships. Items such as fine art, wine, books, rugs, clothing and more will be awarded to high bidders. The James F. and Marion L. Miller Foundation will match all funds raised from new donors for PSU scholarships as part of the University's "Building Our Future" fundraising campaign. The evening will include a silent and live action auction, a raffle and food and beverages.

PSU Department of Theater Arts Collaborates With the Oregon Food Bank

Bring two cans of food or a cash donation to this student performance of "Les Liaisons Dangereuses" ("Dangerous Liaisons") on Wednesday, November 16, 2005, 7:30 p.m.

Cash proceeds benefit the Department of Theater Arts in Portland State's School of Fine and Performing Arts; food donations will be given to the Oregon Food Bank.

PSU School of Fine and Performing Arts Dean to Retire, Interim Dean Appointed

Robert Sylvester, dean of the School of Fine and Performing Arts (FPA), has announced his decision to leave the dean's position to return to the faculty ranks. Barbara Sestak, associate vice provost for Research and Sponsored Projects has accepted the appointment as interim dean and Nancy Koroloff, professor in the Graduate School of Social Work, will take over Sestak's former position.
