Portland State University (PSU) has been named a “Changemaker Campus” by Ashoka U because of its commitment to advancing higher education as a key driver of social change and innovation, Ashoka announced today.
Ashoka U is an offshoot of Ashoka, a non-profit organization founded in 1980 to advance social change through entrepreneurial efforts. In addition to Portland State, Ashoka U chose three other colleges for its 2012 Changemaker Campus designation: Brigham Young University, Brown University and Rollins College.
Most years the Capstone office has far more ideas for courses than we could possibly fund or staff, but any student, staff, faculty member, or community member is welcome to contact Dr. Seanna Kerrigan, the PSU Capstone Program Director, to discuss any ideas related to Capstones
On Wednesday, April 18th, The Department of Community Justice, will honor Professor Deborah Arthur-Smith, during the during the Multnomah County Annual Volunteer Award Ceremony for her outstanding work many hours of service in helping DCJ to achieve their mission.
University Studies is proud to host the annual Senior Capstone Fair on Tuesday, May 1, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in the Smith Memorial Student Union, rooms 327, 328, and 329. This event is designed to showcase our Capstone courses being offered next academic year.
