Materialize: Department of Architecture Student Exhibition Opens First Thursday, June 2

The Department of Architecture at Portland State University celebrates the graduation of its first ever class of Master of Architecture students with an end-of-year design show. Hosted by the American institute of Architects, Portland chapter, the show will highlight the creative achievements of students throughout the graduate and undergraduate programs, with an emphasis on the independent design theses of the Master of Architecture students.

The show opens with a First Thursday reception, Thursday, June 2, 5:30 to 8:30pm, and runs from June 1 through 30.

Her co-organizer was Isabelle Loring Wallace, a University of Georgia contemporary art faculty member. With contributions from 14 scholars and architects, the symposium recognized the contemporary currency of utility, and sought unexpected ways of defining this term within and with respect to the built environment.
