Darin Matthews is the Director of Contracting and Procurement Services. His office oversees the University's purchases and contracts, including personal services, goods and equipment, intergovernmental agreements, and construction contracts. Contracting and Procurement can assist all PSU schools and programs with solicitation development, contract negotiation, and supplier performance. Their office can also provide recommendations for minority, women, and emerging small businesses (MWESB), as well as sustainable products and equipment, which are areas Darin is passionate about.
Prior to joining PSU, Darin worked for various state and local governments in Oregon where he was involved with procurements of all types. He is a past president of the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing and speaks throughout the world on procurement and supply management. Darin has published several books and articles and is a featured columnist for Government Procurement magazine. He teaches Government Procurement for the PSU School of Business Administration, Supply and Logistics Management Program.
Darin is a certified public procurement officer (CPPO) and a certified purchasing manager (C.P.M.). He holds a BS in business and political science and a Master's degree in acquisition management.
