Mayor Tom Potter will be the keynote speaker at Portland State University's Fifth Annual Civic Engagement Awards, Tuesday, May 24, 3-5 p.m., at PSU's Smith Memorial Student Union, room 238 (1825 S.W. Broadway). Potter will speak on PSU's partnerships with the community and provost appointee Roy Koch will confer the awards. The Civic Engagement Awards, sponsored by the Center for Academic Excellence at PSU, recognize excellence in community engagement and are awarded to faculty-community partnership teams, departments or programs that engaged the community, and to community-based organizations engaged in collaborative programs with PSU.
