The Hatfield Resident Fellowship targets postgraduate master and Ph.D. students with a strong scholarship record and confirmed interest in public service and leadership.

The Fellowship is an academically rigorous, project-oriented, educational experience designed to provide each Fellow with an opportunity to acquire leadership skills with a public service agency in Oregon. In this light, the program is not an internship or an employment placement procedure.

The program is:

  • For Graduate students who have completed their Master or Ph.D. degree within the last year or will receive their degree by June 30, 2012
  • A 12-month commitment
  • Providing a stipend of approximately $32,000
  • All Fellows complete a 5-day orientation and team building session
  • All Fellows will attend learning and networking eventsAll Fellows complete a 1-credit class at PSU each quarter (Fellow is responsible for the cost of these classes. Tuition is $450 per credit)
