Social Enterprise in India
A study tour for PSU graduate students
December 2009

Learn how to change the world through social enterprise! Social Enterprise - India is an international field study aimed at giving students a broad, yet practical knowledge of social enterprise. During this rigorous four-week (1 week at PSU, 2 weeks in India, 1 week at PSU) experiential program students will learn about social enterprise theory and practice from a pioneering Oxford University lecturer. Travel in India will occur between December 4th and 18th. Students will gain first hand experience by visiting social enterprises, conducting field research and project consulting, and speaking with industry experts and social entrepreneurs in Southern India.

Important Information:
While the total cost of the trip will not be known for several months, the highest possible cost of the program for a student would be $5,750, but we are hoping to bring it down to the more customary $5,000 range for School of Business Administration study abroad programs. The tour will be limited to 20-25 students. In order to allow sufficient time for obtaining all necessary travel documentation, we will need the list of students participating by October 16th. Selection of students may require an interview.
