A few highlights:

It is a joy this holiday season to reflect on the many accomplishments of our students, faculty, staff, and community over the past year.
A few highlights:
- With a team of community partners, PSU professors designed and built the first prototypes of healthy, affordable green modular classrooms for Oregon’s public schools.
- PSU’s President Wiewel received the inaugural Presidential Award for his commitment to sustainability leadership from the U.S. Green Building Council’s Center for Green Schools.
- Through the Solutions Generator program, a team of students built a bioswale on a local farm to study the potential for filtering agricultural runoff and improving local water quality.
- This fall, University Honors granted the first ever PSU sustainability scholarships to help exceptional students reach their dreams by pursuing education at Portland State.
From all of us at the Institute for Sustainable Solutions, we’d like to extend to you our sincere thanks for your involvement and support in 2012. We look forward to continuing our great work together and achieving more in the year to come.
Wishing you a happy and prosperous New Year!
