FAQ: Where can I recycle batteries on campus?

Batteries contain toxic materials that, if sent to the landfill, could contribute to groundwater contamination and other health risks. By recycling batteries rather than throwing them away, you can help reduce the amount of chemicals that contaminate our drinking water and contribute to ecosystem degradation. Your batteries can be recycled at the following on-campus locations: PSU Bookstore 2nd floor; Montgomery Residence Life desk; Self Service Recycling Room in NH 370; SMSU Market; and ASPSU Office.

If you would like to request a battery bucket or yours is full, please fill out a work request at http://www.fap.pdx.edu/FF for "hazardous pickup"or contact Environmental Health and Safety at 725-3403.
