David Ervin
Director, Center for Sustainable Processes and Practices

David Ervin serves as Coordinator of Academic Sustainability Programs at Portland State University and is Director of the Center for Sustainable Processes and Practices. As Coordinator, he works with faculty members, students, staff and community partners in developing PSU’s campus-wide teaching, research and outreach sustainability programs. He also is a Professor of Environmental Studies in PSU’s Environmental Sciences and Resources Program. His teaching and research projects focus on the economics of environmental management and sustainability (www.pdx.edu/~dervin). He speaks to local, national and international audiences on environmental management and sustainability topics.

Dr. Jennifer H. Allen is the Associate Director of the Center for Sustainable Processes and Practices at Portland State University. In this role, she supports the development of sustainability-related research and curricula across campus, as well as fostering partnerships between PSU and other institutions in the region and internationally. Her academic training is in Environmental Science and Public Policy – she holds degrees from Yale University, Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, and George Mason University. Jennifer’s personal research interests encompass sustainable agriculture, green building, and sustainable economic development. In addition to her work at PSU, Jennifer serves on the boards of the Food Alliance, Shorebank Pacific, Portland Energy Conservation Inc., and Illahee.

Elizabeth Lloyd is the Program Administrator of the Center for Sustainable Processes and Practices at Portland State University. As Program Administrator, she provides research support for PSU's Academic Sustainability program, including the Center for Sustainable Processes and Practices, the Graduate Certificate in Sustainability, the PSU sustainability website, and the sustainability reading group and seminar series.
