All are invited to come celebrate Carmen's many gifts to the PSU community on Wednesday, June 27 from 3-4pm in the PSU Multicultural Center.
Despite having two kinds of cancer Carmen was extremely active on campus and was widely recognized for her service to nontraditional students, students of color, and the PSU community. In 2010 she graduated with her Masters in Education and began working at PCC. She also continued to offer her speaking services to several groups on campus, and stayed in touch with many of us.
Carmen inspired so many people at the across campus. Her favorite quote was “When you let your light shine, it gives others permission to do the same!” Carmen’s light shone very brightly, and we are so grateful that she chose to shine it here at PSU.
