Welcome Week is a volunteer program developed to assist students
and visitors by providing information and directions.Volunteers are needed for one hour time slots
between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday 9/28, Tuesday 9/29, Wednesday 9/30 and
Thursday 10/1 to staff information tables.(Note, the Thursday tables will only be in Neuberger Hall until from
8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.).In total, there
are nearly 200 time slots that need to be filled for these days.
The success of Welcome Week depends entirely on PortlandState faculty, staff, and student
volunteers. Volunteers will be provided with reference materials and a list of
frequently asked questions so they do not need to know everything about PSU.
Volunteers in the past have reported that they not only had fun participating
in Welcome Week, but also learned a great deal about PortlandStateUniversity.
