BA - The Evergreen State College – Area of Emphasis: Public Administration

M.A. Education - Portland State University – Area of Emphasis: On-line Program Development and Evaluation (currently in progress).

Jill teVelde joins the staff of the College of Urban and Public Affairs bringing a long history of contract and grant administration in an educational environment. Her experiences include serving as a Program Director for a regional workforce board, a Policy Researcher for a state workforce board, and as a Grant Manager in K-12 education overseeing program developmentand distribution of funds ranging from $5 million to $28 million in state and federal grant dollars.

As an Administrator of Sponsored Projects and Research, Jill's approach to compliance and oversight embodies her belief that an educational system should be flexible and agile while responding to community needs. Maintaining quality service and public accountability are essential for meaningful investments.

Jill is excited to be part of a team that evolves new educational strategies to promote evocative, innovative thinking and research which addresses community issues.
