  • 2020: The Vanguard earned a weekly CCC national award as well as a final award from among the weekly winners:

  • 2019: The Vanguard earned 2 national Pacemaker awards:
    • 1st place in Editorial Cartoon (Savannah Quarum)
    • 5th place in Local Climate Change Reporting (Katharine Piwonka)
  • 2018: The Vanguard earned a 7th place "Best of Show" award for special edition newspaper.

ONPA Collegiate Newspaper Contest

  • 2020: The Vanguard earned 22 awards.
  • 2019: The Vanguard earned 33 awards, including first place in General Excellence.
  • 2018: The Vanguard earned 42 awards, including first place in General Excellence.
  • 2017: The Vanguard earned 35 awards, including first place in General Excellence.
  • 2016: The Vanguard earned 11 awards, including second place in General Excellence.

  • 2018: PSU.tv's feature-length film, "Karen Doesn't Dream," was accepted at numerous film festivals in the U.S. and Canada, receiving multiple awards.
