Professional Background & Interests:
For 20 years, Lisa has served adults with cognitive, communication and swallowing disorders along the entire continuum of care (acute care to the home/community setting). She now has a private practice and spends some time each week supporting the residents who live at Kampfe Management Services (KMS), a residential setting for adults living with acquired brain injury. She is also currently on staff at ResCare's Rehab without Walls, a home and community based rehab service. She enjoys supervising graduate Speech-Language Pathology students at KMS and emphasizes the importance of collaborating with family/caregivers/guardians and other professionals/resources in the client's community. Personally, she spends time being a mother of two teenagers, searching for home and garden treasures at out-of-the-way estate sales, traveling, and working off the great food she loves to make and eat.
