Adult Clinic

Under supervision, our Graduate students provide one on one evaluation and treatment through bi-weekly 50-minute sessions to adults with speech-language, swallowing and/or cognitive disorders.  These sessions will take place within our University Campus Clinic.

We treat various levels of severity through multi-modality approaches with a primary focus on functional communication abilities.  Our goal is to treat the impairment for long-term return of function, while providing a functional means of communication for immediate needs.  We use a Supported Communication with Persons with Aphasia (SCA) approach with all clients assuring to reveal and acknowledge competence every step of the way. There are no barriers.  Let us help you build your ramp to successful communication.

If you are experiencing difficulty with swallowing, we can address that as well.  As a board certified specialist in swallowing and swallowing disorders, we can work with you on swallow strengthening, techniques, strategies and/or diet modifications to promote safe swallowing while increasing your quality of life.
