Graduate-level programs for future teachers

Since 1963, the Department of Special Education has offered a wide range of programs for the preparation of teachers in special education. Current programs include special education teacher licensure and endorsements, certificate programs, continuing licensure, master's degrees, a doctoral program, and continuing professional development. Faculty also conduct important applied research and run federally funded projects individually and through our two research centers that result in new programs and strategies for supporting children and youth with disabilities, their families, and teachers.
