VIL Initial Licensure with Master’s
The program begins with one threeweek summer session, while the remainder of the program is delivered through webbased applications and culminates with a student teaching experience in or near the student's local community.
This 65 credit program for teachers of students with visual impairments (TVIs) provides a master's degree and an initial licensure. Students complete the master’s core:

- SPED 596: Research in Special Education
- SPED 597: Issues and Practices in Special Education
- SPED 506: Applied Project
*hybrid 8 week courses with 3 weeks of face-to-face instruction in Portland
