The PSU Autism Training and Research Center provides training and support for the implementation of research-based curriculum methods as well as on-site training, consultation, and evaluation for district programs in Oregon and southwest Washington that serve children with autism. The PSU team has over 30 years of experience, including designing the first Oregon classroom specifically targeted to meet their needs. During the PSU team's extensive work, they have become proficient at training others to implement state-of-the-art methods that address applied behavioral analysis instructional strategies, appropriate curriculum content, behavior support, classroom management, and classroom environmental design techniques. In addition, Dr. Joel Arick and his colleagues have developed and published successful research-based curricula and have established model programs throughout Oregon.
