As of January 2008, PSU's Community and School Counseling Programs recieved an 8-year re-accreditation, the maximum length awarded by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).

As of July 18, 2007, PSU's Rehabilitation Counseling Program recieved an 8-year re-accreditation, the maximum length awarded by the Counsil on Rehabilitation Education (CORE).

CACREP & CORE Surevey Results

 

The links below display the CACREP & CORE Survey results regarding the performance of PSU's Counselor Education Program. The surveys were conducted between November 2005 and July 2006, and polled both graduates and field supervisors of interns and graduates of the program.

The questionnaires asked respondents to describe the following:

  • Work responsibilities of the interns/graduates
  • Impressions of the program's preparation of its students for work in the counseling or related fields
  • Academic preparedness
  • Ratings on specific skill acquisition
  • Clinical Preparedness
  • Thoughts on improving the program
