Senior Research Fellow

International Centre for Muslim and non-Muslim Understanding, Hawke Research Institute

3 year contract, up to 3 positions available
Total remuneration package: $98K -$113K

The newly created International Centre for Muslim and non-Muslim Understanding is seeking to appoint Senior Research Fellows with strong research, organisational and interpersonal skills to join its growing team.

You will contribute to build the Centre's research culture and the research field, including participating in and assisting with the organisation of seminars, symposia and conferences central to the debate about improving understanding between Muslim and non-Muslim communities. To be successful in the role, you will hold strong research, organisational and interpersonal skills. You will also have a demonstrated ability to attract research grants, build relationships with government, industry and community organisations and effectively promote research to a wide audience. The ideal candidate will have a doctorate in social sciences or a closely related discipline together with knowledge of poststructuralism and/or postcolonial studies, and experience of researching topics relating to interests of the Centre.
