Middlebury College -Islam (Tenure Track)
The Department of Religion announces a tenure-track position in Islam. Candidates will be expected to teach courses in the texts, traditions, and history of Islam and guide undergraduates in the exploration of Islam both within and beyond the Arab world. Area of research specialization is open, but the Department specifically seeks candidates whose geographical focus lies outside South Asia. Candidates must be eager to work in an interdisciplinary setting and contribute to programs in Middle Eastern Studies and International Studies. Middlebury College currently offers a strong program in Arabic language instruction during the regular academic year, as well as in its summer Language Schools.
