College of Charleston, the School of Languages, Cultures and World Affairs, invites applications for a senior appointment in International Studies at the associate or full professor rank with the possibility of tenure. Candidates must have a PhD in their field and a demonstrated record of distinguished scholarship and teaching and /or government service or policy experience. Field is open, but the successful candidate is expected to make a significant contribution to a new interdisciplinary major that offers area studies and topical courses as well as take the lead in developing outstanding international co-curricular programming and funded research. Regional focus in Africa, Asia, the Middle East or Latin America is highly preferred.
